Torus allows player to leave the well. The torus floats above ground between the house and the top of the well shaft. Interacting with the torus is possible only after hatching the 65th Egg and calming the second manticore. The torus transports the player to the bunny island.
The map in Animal Well wraps on the sides – left-right and top-bottom, similar to video game Pac-Man and some versions of the video game Snake. Because of that, the map is homeomorphic, or topologically isomorphic, to a torus.
