Chameleon
The Chameleon is an aggressive animal that is only partially visible and acts as a boss guarding the V. Flame. It attacks the player with its tongue to reel them in and eat them. Being subject to this attack is an immediate death. It can also attack by shedding and shooting tears of blood at the player, though this will only damage the player unlike the tongue attack. Using a Firecracker will trigger the blood tears.
The only way to defeat the Chameleon is to bait out the tongue attack and trick it into consuming 5 Hedgehogs.
Oddly enough, it can consume Chinchillas, but will spit them out eventually if it happens.
When the Chameleon eats you, it deals damage for 8 hearts, which normally kills you, as it is not possible to have more than four red hearts and four blue hearts. However, if you also have a golden heart from the Groundhog on top of that, it is possible to survive the attack, which displays a broken message.
