The Secret of the Dark Forest

After the Day of the Devs Blue Bird puzzle, a general effort was put forward to find any other hidden secrets related to Animal Well. As a result of this the Secret of the Dark forest was discovered. Hidden in the HTML for the official website, we can find the message "1st 5 to email me with subject line DARK FOREST get steam (key) at launch". This was hidden by Basso 3 months prior to the Day of the Devs trailer [1], but was only found after the trailer was released.
