Map (Item)

The Map is one of the earliest items you can acquire. It allows you to bring up the map in illuminated areas. You can use the map in dark areas by equipping and activating the Lantern, or by throwing firecrackers.

You can acquire the Pencil to add hand-written notes to the map, as well as the Stamps to add preset icons to note rooms of interest.

Location

The map is on the way out of the starting area.

The Map is found on the way out of the starting area, shortly after the first candle. You can't really miss it unless you don't open the chest on the way.
