Manticore area
The Manticore area is in the bottom middle of the map in Animal Well. It contains the Manticore boss. This area is required for beating the game.
Requirements
Entering the first half of the manticore area requires that all four flames are placed in their beacons in the central area. This will permanently open up the floor allowing access into the area. The second half of the area contains the Manticore and requires the use of the lantern. Access to the incubator room requires the use of the top in the Manticore arena.
Connections
The [entral area can be accessed through the opening created at the top of the manticore area. The house area can be accessed at the bottom of the manticore area, by pressing all six buttons to open the gate in the Manticore boss room. The Manticore area's incubator room can be seen but not accessed from a window at the bottom of the snake area. The hippopotamus head connects the Manticore area to the shortcut room.
Items
The lantern is acquired in the middle of the area, requiring the player to solve puzzles while avoiding hostile animals.
